The Reading Room Sessions launches in the Hague
A new program series is being launched in the Hague, and it’s called the Reading Room. It’s hosted by the Hague-based artist initiative Platform for Thought in Motion in collaboration with iii.
The Reading Room is a series of public reading groups revolving around short texts provided by invited guests – contemporary researchers, cultural theorists, philosophers and artists – who join to provide insight and context to the topics of the material at hand.
Think of it like a once a month university seminar class. After attending the first session I would highly recommend it. Its a great way to get a dose of theory and subsequent conversation with fellow peers and experts in an intimate setting at no cost.
If you would like to attend, RSVP at firstname.lastname@example.org to get the text and reserve your place. And this goes without saying, make sure to read it before you attend!
The next session of the Reading Room is:
The Reading Room #2: What Is the Measure of Nothingness? by Karen Barad
With invited guests Sher Doruff & Toni Pape
17h – 19h
Location: Vrije Academie Gemak, Paviljoensgracht 20-24, 2512 BP, The Hague
May 21st: Rick Dolphijn
July 7th: Marcel Cobussen

A special thanks goes to Vrije Academie Gemak and Stimuleringsfonds Creatieve Industrie for supporting the Reading Room series.
